bicarb of soda and a little lavender oil apparently good!

Leaving a bowl of vinegar in a closed room overnight clears the smell of vomit, so I wonder whther applying it directly would have the same effect on clearing the smell from the carpet itself.

Dd puked all over my bed after eating hotdogs so the smell was even more disgusting! I cleaned it up then used warm soapy water then covered the wet patch with bi-carb and left overnight. Hoovered off the next day and the smell was gone.

Mine had asthma and often vomited with coughs and colds. Bicarbonate of soda neutralises the smell, then I would carpet shampoo. Be really careful to clean all surfaces, as even the tiniest splash can smell.
