How to get dried on blood out of a carpet.

As the tittle says really. My son has regular nose bleeds and has some on his cream bedroom Carpet that is dry. I've tried using my vax carpet cleaner but it hasn't touched it. Any suggestions?

Brush the dried off blood with a stiff brush....

Then get a washable cotton rug to put over the carpet ready for next nose bleed.

Cold water with salt dissolved in it and use a cloth dipped in it to dab at the stain until it is removed

Cold salt water.
