Kitchen is falling apart. Does the landlord have to put a new one in?

Iv lived here a few years now and in the recent months the kitchen has started to fall apart. Cupboards doors seamed rotted and are just falling apart. Draws are dropping, some open for no reason and won’t stay closed, benches are all chipped. The kitchen is very old and the landlord tried to paint it to make it look better before we moved in but the house is clearly due a new one. Iv messaged him about the issues and he ignores me.
