Steam cleaner advice for spot cleaning of carpet.

I have 2 small boys and a much loved elderly dog. Accidents keep happening on my carpets 🙈.

I am looking to buy a carpet steam cleaner, which effectively sucks up the excess moisture. I'd like it for cleaning small areas where the vom or toilet accident has occured.

(I'm not going to want to clean a whole room with it, I'd get a professional person in for large areas.)

Any recommendations for a lightweight, but powerful, small area cleaner?

I don’t have experience of a small one unfortunately but have been thrilled with a Vax Platinum we bought half price as it is refurbished. It’s probsbly the same price as hiring one a couple of time but a better machine and has an upholstery tool for smaller stuff .

Hopefully someone else knows about smaller ones
