Anyone MACHINE washed a maxi cosi car seat cover and did it survive?

DS kindly vomited all over his maxi cosi cabriofix car seat during the week. I did a rough clean up job at the time but we have now taken it apart to clean properly. It says DO NOT MACHINE WASH, but the cover stinks so much I do not feel a handwash will suffice. Anyone machine washed one before? Did the cover survive?

I haven't got a cabriofix, but have a priori that says don't machine wash and I have done a couple of times. I do think that a decent hand wash would be just as good though.

no idea- do you have a handwash cycle on the machine? might be better to soak it in a solution of bio powder and soda crystals.

I've stuck my car seat in at 30 before now

but it's not a maxi cosi

It's not going to shrink at 30 and if it musses the fabric a bit that's better than vomit imo

I machine washed mine at 40degrees a few years ago. It was fine.

Oh YAY! Thanks for such swift replies. I will stick it in at 30 on gentle wash cycle thing. I dont care what it looks like afterwards as long as the smell has gone and it still fits the seat.
