butterflymum · 29/05/2007 23:30

Erm...do you have someone else at home that could do it? I usually adopt this method of getting it cleaned .

TheMoistWorldOfSeptimusQuench · 29/05/2007 23:31

Good plan, Butterflymum, but only other person here is 4yr old DD. Might be good training for the chimneys though

You slattern

If you have a self-cleaning one, you turn it on at the highest heat and let it burn off all the crap. Then you just brush it out.

Have you got the instruction leaflet? I don't want to be sued when you set fire to your house.

Self cleaning? Instruction leaflet??? Are you having a larf??

move house.
that's what I always do when the oven needs cleaning

LynetteScavo · 29/05/2007 23:50

Look in the yellow pages, and find a local oven cleaning service. It costs about £40 but is worth every penny. It will be like brand new.

TheMoistWorldOfSeptimusQuench · 29/05/2007 23:53

Harpsichordcarrier, I like your style. If only that were a possibility. It's a bastard electric one too, so even harder to care about the bugger [fume]

dh and steam cleaner works well for me!

Furball · 30/05/2007 07:46

I use Lakeland Ovenmate It is like magic - brush it on, wait a few hours then simply wipe off, it also doesn't smell. It really is easy peasy, no scrubbing nothing. amazing!
