Am decorating the spare room.
Not changing the carpet - it's a sort of dark royal blue colour (not my choice now, but hey ho, it didn't seem too bad when we first moved in...)
Anyway I've done this the wrong way round, as I've decided on the colour scheme BEFORE finding the fabrics/ bed linens...(ran out of time and suddenly decorator was here...)
Soooo.... we have painted a feature wall a sort of light mocha colour and the remaining walls a cream colour.
I thought it would be easy to find stuff in browns/ blues/ creams but I am struggling!
Am looking for curtains/ curtain fabric
Double duvet/ bedspread/ cushions etc
I have trailed round John Lewis and coouldn't find ANYTHING - there are so few blues around at the mo (except duck egg!)
I would describe our style/ preferences as:
- contemporary (rather than traditional)
- prefer abstract to e.g. florals etc
We may replace the furniture with cream painted stuff, so the furnishings really need to add the interest and colour.
Can anyone suggest any companies/ fabric/ bedding suppliers or ranges?
