Why do my clothes stop smelling of softener once out of the tumble dryer?

Sad the smell just vanishes! When they come out of the washer they smell divine (Aldi Peach softener) and now they're out of the dryer, they smell of nothing really.

That's how I like it - I really don't want to smell of washing powder and fabric conditioner!

I use Sainsbury’s tumble dry sheets, I love the smell

Get some sponges cut them up - you know the rubbery feeling squares

1 part softener to 3 parts water - keep in a small tub and chuck one piece in with each load

Homemade dryer sheets... no static and they'll smell nice after they come out for ages

The smell vanishes because the fabric conditioner evaporates
