Smell of vomit in the room

Ok this might sound odd but how to get rid of vomit smell in the room when there is nothing that could smell? My DS was sick in his bed, everything from his bed was taken away from the room and washed, there was a waterproof mattress protector that was washed and I even removed mattress cover and washed it. I left window opened but room still smells, floor and bed frame is clean. Any tips please?

Bicarbonate of soda, sprinkle liberally everywhere, leave for as long as possible them vacuum up.

Leave the windows open for a while, it does go eventually
My niece was sick on my sofa , I washed it twice with a solution made with that old fashioned pine disinfectant and left the windows open for a while. It did the trick
