Spilt baby milk in my new expensive handbag :( !!!

Evening all. I've just realised I've left a bottle of baby milk in my handbag and its left a massive patch and stinks!!
What can I do to clear the patch and try and get rid of the smell?! (Its a lovely big handbag which I use as an alternative to a changing bag when I'm out with the baby)
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

What is your bag made of? Could it be put in the washing machine on a really low, quick setting?

Its a leather bag so can't put it in the wash

Try absorbing the fat by sprinkling with Bicarbonate of Soda, leaving a couple of hours and brushing off. Do not apply anything wet it will make the stain worse. The milk will have sunk into the porous leather, so you can only hope to lessen the stain and eliminate the smell.
