Washing up liquid to clean shower tray/walls?

Fed up of the soap scum left on my shower tray and glass walls. Anyone used washing up liquid to cut through the grime? I tried it today after trying numerous expensive cleaning products and it seemed to do a good job, although I did need to rinse away a lot of bubbles!
Can't think of a reason why not, but it felt a bit strange!

It's fabulous for cleaning a toilet. I've used it occasionally for cleaning the bath and sink and it does a great job.

After reading a thread on here I tried neat Johnson’s baby shampoo and a sponge to get the glass cubicle streak free. It worked!
For some reason I didn’t carry on with it, though...

Interesting... maybe I will try the baby shampoo!

No need for expensive stuff, a big bottle of surface cleaner (eg Flash) that you dilute a tiny bit in water will do the job and is formulated without those annoying bubbles.
