Sticky pads/labels etc - it depends on the glue that’s been used. Try dabbing one with soapy water, leave for a few mins and see if that works. If not, alcohol (a few drops of whatever spirit alcohol you have in the house), or oil (baby oil/cooking oil/wd40), should work without damaging the furniture. You may need to let it soak on for a wee while.

I blasted some remains of children's stickers on furniture with a hot hairdryer. It worked well to melt the adhesive so it could be scraped off and then gently removed with a scoring pad and hot soapy water.

Sticky stuff remover from Lakeland (and other places). Perfect for removing all kinds of sticky stuff. Test an inconspicuous area first to make sure it won't damage the surface.

Rubbing alcohol

Olive oil. Soak it and leave for a wee while before scraping it off with your nail.
