How much cleaning do you do in between visits?

I have a 3 bed average semi. Approx 1,100 sq ft. One bathroom and a separate loo.

Cleaner comes for 3 hrs per week. She does about half an hour of ironing in that time.

Am I being lazy in thinking that certain areas (eg the stair carpet) shouldn't need cleaning again between visits?

The kitchen is wiped over every evening/ during the day as needed. The living areas hoovered most days as I have small children.

I don't think I am particularly slovenly, maybe I am?

My cleaner does my whole house (not deep clean) in 3 hours and its four times the size of yours OP. Admittedly she is superhuman but in 3 hours can't you get her to change the beds etc.

Nothing other than wiping down the kitchen. It's fine, life's too short

Whats with all the stair hoovering? Shock
I can't remember when mine were last hoovered.

When my DC were small and I had a cleaner once a week for four hours I did not do any of "her jobs" in between. I would make sure house was tidy so she could clean rather than waste time tidying but that's all. I did all laundry and bed changing myself.

Your stressing to much!! I had a cleaner 5 hours per week & she did dusting, hoovering, kitchen/bathroom clean, change beds etc.

I did very little in between just kept the place tidy & did the laundry. Surely that’s the point of having a cleaner.... more time for yourselves/family!

@SE12mum add changing beds to your list of cleaning jobs. If your not happy with the cleaning, tell the agency!
