Do you wash your clothes after every wear?

I usually get 2 wears out of an outfit unless obvious marks/ been doing something particularly sweaty etc. My DH will only wear his clothes once and DD usually goes through 2 outfits a day (she's 10.5 months and a very messy eater!)

I'm trying to reduce my washing but DH refuses to wear more than once as he thinks it's dirty. Is he right or am I? What do you do?

Only pants. Nothing else unless it had befallen an unfortunate incident or smelled.

And I don't even shower every day.

DTD's clothes after every wear (a wear can easily be only 30 mins as they're mucky pups and DTD1 is fussy and would happily wear 3 or 4 outfits a day given half a chance Grin). For DH and I, underwear / socks / tops are worn once and jeans/ jumpers after a couple of wears.

Underwear and close fitting tops after one wear (but not bras as they're not next to sweaty parts, I'm too small for boob sweat!)

Trousers, jumpers, baggy tops etc as long as they're unmarked and have no smells.

My DCs were being lazy and swapping pajamas most nights instead of finding and reusing them. Hiding the stock and issuing them weekly or when needed has slashed their contributions to the washing pile!

Office wear 2, maybe 3 wears before it is washed. Jeans, wear 2 pairs a week at home in the evenings, some evenings wear pyjamas instead. I take a long objective look and have a bit of a sniff before I wash clothes as they last much better if only washed when needed.

Most stuff apart from bras and jeans.

Underwear (not bras), socks and some tshirts after one wear.
Other tops after a couple of wears.
Jeans etc several wears.

I always feel so dirty after reading threads like this.

Pants, tights and socks, every day, unless I have only worn the socks for an hour or two, in which case I might wear them again the next day.

Bras - after about 4/5 days

Shirts, tops, dresses - after 2 wears unless it is something I wear very very occasionally, eg a special dress in which case I will wash it after one wear

PJs - after a week

Jeans, trousers, jumpers - when they start to look dirty. This can take weeks or even months.

There you go, you feel dirty thinking about me, don't you? Grin
