D'you think this dress can be saved? Dry clean only went in washing machine (With pics)

My own stupid fault for absent-mindedly putting it in the washing basket when I took it off, but our cleaner has run this through the machine and it's come out covered in these weird marks. She's also ironed it but the creases don't seem to have come out.

Unfortunately I got it on eBay and the care label is cut so I can't be sure what it's made of, it's a stiff silky material to touch. Just wondered if anyone thinks it can be saved? Worth trying the dry cleaner after all?

TIA!

No I reckon it's had it, sorry. Unless you can live with the creased effect - I assume it was smooth before?

If it is knackered anyway could try getting it wet then ironing again. It is not recommended but I have saved things a couple of times that way.

I'd try washing again with no soap, but use fabric conditioner. Very slow spin speed. Finish by shaking it hard and drying on a hanger to try and get the shape back without creasing.

Or even hand wash in conditioner and put on a hanger to drip dry. No wringing or spinning .

I think it's the iron that's done the damage looking at the photos unless it's colour run? Try it through the machine again on a cycle for curtains or similar; low temp, no spin.

The peg out to drip dry.

My thought was cool wash with lots of fabric softener, give it a good shake and drip dry on a hanger. If that doesn't work I'd try tumble dryer dry cleaning sheets. I would not put an iron near it.

From what's left of the care label it says to iron inside out (which I assume she did) so I don't think it's the iron - it looks like soap residue rather than colour run.

Thanks for the replies, will try a cycle with fabric conditioner!
