We have Henry and live in a large Edwardian semi, nothing else touches it for power and ease of use.
Our first one lasted over 20 years and had perfect performance until the day it died. It was soon replaced by the latest model with boost switch.

Have Miele just upgraded it and renamed it something else? Or do you fancy something new?

I have a dyson animal ball one but its big and difficult to store. Its a pain in the bum for doing stairs because it doesn't reach the whole flight of stairs and its awkward and too big and heavy but its the only one Ive found that actually does pick up the dog hair. It fills up very quickly and needs emptying every use but that maybe because I have 2 balls of dust running around the house that only really look like dogs for 30 minutes when they have a bath.

I've just got a Shark.

It's taken at least 5 years off my old carpets. They feel all springy and fluffy again!

Sebo, without a doubt. Ours is over 20 years old and survived with my in laws, then came to us to clean after 2 cats, 2 kids and 2 house renovations. It's refuses to break & still cleans as well as ever. I've tried to upgrade twice - once to a Dyson and once to a Miele but neither clean as well.
