Must be powerful - I like to see lines in my carpet! And must be good for the stairs and tiled/wood floors too :)

I cannot lug around my sebo any longer!

I have to say-I have cats and the v6 picks up cat hair fine.

Stay away from the vax ones my cordless is totally rubbish. Can't cope with much at all - gets blocked/starts spitting out at the slightest thing, really wish I'd gone for a dyson as my mum swears by her v6

I've had my Dyson for a few days now and a visitor at the weekend actually asked if we had got new carpets. Combination of the Dyson picking up more than my cheap and cheerful upright and wanting to play with the new toy so the hoovering has been done every day since it arrived!

I'm pretty happy with the Dyson so far. It seems to get up a lot of stuff and I can get right under the furniture with it which I couldn't with my upright. I also like not having to drag the upright out of the cupboard and find somewhere to plug it in. Just grab and go. The dirt bucket is on the small side but I'm finding myself just doing little bits at a time when I have five minutes rather than going through the whole house at one time so I don't have to empty it every time. I does get through the whole house on one empty.

The Bosch Athlet is amazing!

It's the V8 Animal. I don't have much in the way of hard floors so didn't need the extra head the Absolute comes with.

Dyson V8, expensive but worth every penny!
