How can 2 threads that I've been on just be deleted?

One about cleaning wood floors and the other about hot kitchen taps?

The mind boggles.

I think I was on one of the carpet threads and was a bit Confused at the deletion message. Thanks for explaining Dramaalpaca

I did think housekeeping would be a bit lame for trolling!

PickAChew · 24/02/2017 23:45

Carpet smelling of sick thread is a current example.

DramaAlpaca · 24/02/2017 23:47

Glad you agree with me, PickAChew, that's the one I mentioned above. I've reported it so it'll be interesting to see if it gets deleted.

e1y1 · 25/02/2017 01:33

Yes a lot of spamming going on in HK. I am on HK and AIBU the most, and have noticed LOADS of threads that are promoting something from DrBeckmann.

EnidButton · 25/02/2017 01:43

I'll be eyeing Amazon links with suspicion from now on.

wowfudge · 25/02/2017 05:30

This board has been infected by spammers - they keep copying word for word what I think are genuine posts from months ago. The majority of these fake repeated posts get a reply exactly 30 minutes later which contains the advertising link. I think they must be using some sort of program to do it for them.

It's really annoying - the number of times I've thought, 'this seems familiar' and lo and behold some spammer links to Amazon.

I recently responded to a post about a stain recommending a Dr Beckmann product, but I didn't link to it anywhere. It's not as if most of this stuff is difficult to find.

PeachyImpeachment · 25/02/2017 07:44

Aha, that makes sense. Was sad to lose a mop thread the other day - I really needed mop!

LightastheBreeze · 25/02/2017 11:26

So thats probably why the 'cleaning curtains' thread was deleted, I couldn't imagine why it was gone.

NanTheWiser · 25/02/2017 16:09

Yes, the dreaded spammers! I was the poster who started the thread on Site stuff mentioned upthread, there were so many of them, they were too obvious, and it was getting really tiresome. Reported quite a few, and although it has died down a bit, I still see the odd one that looks a bit iffy, but CBA too bother reporting any more.

wowfudge · 25/02/2017 16:54

Nan I have reported shed loads of them. It's so irritating. I keep recognising threads! Genuine posters have taken the time to reply to what they thought was a real post, not some tiresome arse's attempt at advertising.

NanTheWiser · 25/02/2017 17:22

I know, Wow, I try not to take much notice any more, cos it makes my blood boil!

PrancerForHoney · 25/02/2017 17:26

I was on the hot tap thread, I wondered why it had disappeared.
I'm also on a Zoflora thread. They'd best not touch that one! 😂😉

PurpleDaisies · 25/02/2017 17:30

I think the housekeeping board is unofficially sponsored by zoflora prancer. I'm sure that thread will be ok. Grin

OnHold · 26/02/2017 14:04

There are at least 4 threads started by spammers today.
