Flushing "feminine protection" and condoms - still polluting our wild environments

I went for a walk with my family along a north Somerset beach this morning. It was littered with hundreds if not thousands of non-decomposable plastic backing layers of sanitary pads, plastic tampon tubes and a few dozen condoms (presumably the new generation of non decomposable/non-latex, poly isopropylene type?)... not to mention plastic sticks from cotton buds. I had to stop my 4 yo son collecting panty liner remnants! I thought the no flush message was getting through - but judging from this, residents along the river Severn from source to estuary still chuck their muck down the bog. Don't they have wheelie bins in these districts. Come on - please bin and don't flush
