Where to buy big bath towels, not too pricey?

I don't want a bale of different sizes, just 3 or 4 nice big ones in different colours.

I've found cheap and thin ones, and lovely but too expensive ones.

Any recommendations? Prefer to buy online for laziness but then I can't check how they feel.

MN wisdom required please!

Primark or Yesco

Kidnapped · 22/10/2016 16:03

Just Linen

They have Christy and Sheridan stuff. Mostly about half price.

I get all towels and bedding from here. Good quality.

I love the Asda ones! I got some bath sheets reduced a while back and they're lovely.

Ikea?

melibu84 · 22/10/2016 16:05

We got some from Debenhams. They were in their "essentials range" and we're £8 each. They feel just as soft as the £30 egyptian cotton ones they were selling :| !

T K Maxx

Posting for ideas but the best ones I've had have been from Debenhams or BHS, although not an option now sadly.

I just wait for a sale and am not fussy about colours, so we have a selection of nice fluffy towels in random colours.

I second asda towels! Not too expensive and nice quality.

My current dept store has Cath Kidston towels in the back end of the sale at £9.95 each for bath sheet size.

I have bought 3 styles but there is only one style left now.

Does your big dept store have any sales?

oleoleoleole · 22/10/2016 16:10

Primark bath sheets are under £10 and unbeatable quality.

Forgetmenotblue · 22/10/2016 16:18

Thanks all!

I'm near a big Asda so I'll try that first.

IKEA?

auldfuckingspinster · 24/10/2016 12:24

I love my Asda big white towels, primark ok too.

Narnian · 24/10/2016 12:30

TJ Hughes are good for Christy towels.

LIZS · 24/10/2016 12:35

Wilko or Tesco

littlewoollypervert · 24/10/2016 12:37

IKEA ones are great - but if you buy a dark colour, it needs about 4-5 washes for the loose fibres to all fall out of it (had to wipe the bath/sink every time I used a navy IKEA towel till it had gone through the wash several times)

Having said that, same towel is now about 4 yrs old and looks like new.

icklekid · 24/10/2016 12:38

Got some from Dunelm mill that really happy with and very reasonable

Fennwalker · 24/10/2016 13:55

Just got a John Lewis quick dry one as a tester, think it was £15, is lovely!

poisonedbypen · 24/10/2016 13:58

Primark

Cherylene · 24/10/2016 14:03

I usually try Dunelm for cheaper ones. For really cheap ones, I go to Sainsbury's and buy whatever colour they are trying to get rid of. Grin.

Jumbo Towels from Studio A friend put me onto these and they have been used and washed to death and holding up well.

JoJoSM2 · 24/10/2016 14:30

TK Maxx will sometimes have top notch stuff for not very much.

ChishandFips33 · 24/10/2016 19:44

Asda here too - wash well and actually dry you too!

Olivialoves · 24/10/2016 19:53
