Tell me your best fly prevention strategies

Because I want my windows open and I hate flies, dammit!!

Best way is to keep house fresh by making sure bins are emptied frequently, bins are covered, etc.

Fly swatter. The kind that looks like a bat, electric shock and kill the fuckers. We barely get 1 or 2 and I always kill em. I am evil.

A tip I picked up from a website somewhere - fill a plant spray bottle with water / little detergent. Spray at the worst offender and it makes them heavy and they drop to the floor. Spray is harmless and it works a treat!

we use fly traps when it's hot and we don't our house infested with flys.
