Is white vinegar or bleach and bicarb paste better?

Bleach and bicarb is amazing.

poppym12 · 05/07/2016 08:45

Thanks Dame. I used that last time I think but it caused asthma havoc. May buy some dust mask things to see if they help.

Window wide open and bathroom door shut once you've finished. Leave it on all day.

Thanks for that user. I've never heard of that brand so will have a look to see if they test on animals before I try it.

I buy the pound shop brand (astonish?) mould and mildew spray and spray that in and leave all day.

It does smell v strong though so you will need to open a window and shut the door behind you

I didn't know astonish did one! I use quite a bit of their stuff as it's cruelty free. Thank you Smile

Well it's not strictly grout cleaner but it works!

Bleach and bicarb is amazing. I spent weeks trying to remove the mould from our bathroom tiles before leaving the (rented) property. I had tried everything I could think off and had even tried meticulously scrubbing with a toothbrush.

I slathered the paste on and left for a few hours and blasted it all of with the shower head and it looked better than when we moved in. I was both impressed and annoyed that something that took 2 minutes worth of effort worked perfectly whereas my all my scrubbing didn't make even the slightest difference.

I'm reopening this thread as I'm on a search for grout cleaning. Had anyone fine this bleach and bicarb trick?

sanasa · 11/09/2017 14:29

Bleach, vanish powder and a tooth brush. Comes up amazing.

Stillwaitingforsummer · 11/09/2017 14:31

Do you make a paste with bleach and vanish then leave it for a while?

sanasa · 11/09/2017 14:38

Make into a paste scrub into grout with toothbrush leave for half an hour and then wipe clean Smile
