Barring glade and a couple of Yankee candles (not all of them) I've not found a candle that I can actually smell the scent while is burning.

St Eval Bay and Rosemary (haven't tried the other scents) do and also True Grace

Neom candles are amazing...pricey but totally worth it. You can get them in John Lewis

Thanks. I'll have to try them although the Neom ones might be a once in a while treat as the are quite pricey! Do they last quite a while, Bigapple?

White Company ones are great.

Neom, White Company, Jo Malone, Lalique and Penhaligan's. All lovely candles.

Neom ones are occasionally found in TK Maxx too.

I like the Lily-Flame ones. John Lewis and Waitrose do them.

Marks and Spencer have small lavender candles for €5 in their grocery section. they are my favourite now. Really clean and the candle itself is lovely.

Diptyque. They aren't cheap but they are the business. Jasmin or Tubereuse if you like florals, Feu de Bois if you like woody/smoky. And lots more. John Lewis and Space NK sell them.

Yes OP they last for ages. I bought a 3-wick about a year ago and don't use it all the time, it's nearly dead now but I can't afford a new one (sob)

Lily flame ones have a strong scent and are quite cheap. I usually buy them from John Lewis.

Woodwick ones are good.

I've bought this one lots of times, I like it. About £3 in Homebase. They have others in the range.

Neal's Yard do some nice ones. I have the calming one in rose and geranium which is lovely. Has lasted well too.

bookbuddy · 25/05/2016 18:06

Partylite and woodwick are both reasonable in line with Yankee's prices. Smile

St Eval seasalt is amazing, and scents an entire room. I love it :)

You need wax tarts from Candlewick Greens. She runs the business by herself and restocks the website every two weeks on a Friday evening, so there can be a bit if a wait to get your order, but it's seriously worth it. I get comments from everyone who comes to my house about how nice it smells and once I had the living room window open while I had some wax on, and I heard a passerby wonder what the nice smell was.

Not at all affiliated with the company, I just like nice strong scents.

molly some of those scents sound lovely - do you have any particular favourites - it's hard to narrow down!
