I have noticed mould on the underside and straps of my E3, probably becuse it is stored in my garage. I need to get it off and stop it coming back. I have also noticed mould on the headrest in my car, yuck, any ideas how to remove this?
thanks in anticipation

ooh, i got that prob too, with my phil and teds and more recently my micralite, i sponged it all off with bleachy water. to be honest it never came off the straps.... still managed to sell it on for £275 though!
i keep mine in car port (roof but no sides) too- think it must be quite a bad idea but where else to store it?!

Ah I have it on the hood of my E3 are the particularly prone do you think?

misdee · 11/01/2007 17:26

you could try some diluted hydrogen peroxide

mmm i think they could be prone to it. it ended up being over quite a large part of it. the micralite is the same sort of fabric too so maybe thats the problem

did the diluted bleach not take the colour out? I'm just really worried about the amount of mould spores the children seem to be surrounded by at the moment. it is in the car as well on the seats and headrest and I would be very nervous about even diluted bleach on the back seats

I found that a steam cleaner worked brilliantly on my mouldy buggy. You know the ones that you fill with water and then can blast steam out of them. I have a polti steam cleaner (see shopping channels!!!) but I know that you can get really cheap small steamers in Robert Dyas etc. I swear by mine for cleaning everything especially highchair. Hope this helps!

I have also used carpet cleaner with an upholstery nozzle on a fabric office chair and it didn't reappear

but damp will make it happen so continuing to store it in the garage is going to have that effect I'm afraid

I used mould n mildew spray on my pram, it didnt even bleach the fabric either, considering it contains bleach.
