It's still working and not defrosting and there's nothing leaking inside as far as I can see.Any clues??

Maybe check the fridge section at the back, where the excess water drains .. make sure it's not blocked ..

This happened to ours,it was a blocked drainage hole at the back of the fridge inside. It was full of black gunk.Stopped water draining away so it trickled down the door and onto floor.

Whereabouts is the puddle? There is often a drainage hole at the bottom at the back, which can sometimes get blocked up with ice - our old fridge used to do this all the time. If it's this, you could do what we used to do, and heat up a skewer to gradually melt the ice, and clear the hole so that it can drain properly again.

There will be a tray at the back to collect water that has condensed from inside the fridge. Sometimes this will overflow - though usually it happens in hot, humid weather.
It's nothing to worry about - just mop it up and - if you can - pull the fridge away from the wall and get as much water as poss out of the tray.

Thanks chaps. Might sneak off to get DD from pre-school by which time DH will have come home for lunch and will be clearing it up... I hope...
