I don't like my Miele hoover- it smells!

even with a new hoover bag and new filter it still has an unpleasant dirty dust smell blowing out after a couple of days. No pets, it hasn't been used on anything damp and is used on normal household dust and fluff. Eight months old

I have used Dyson cleaners for years and years and I really miss them now. Wish I had gone for a cylinder model instead of this one

Anyone else not feel the love?

Op, I've had a problem with my miele smelling too. Suction is great but for some reason mine smells like vomit when it's on Blush I've replaced the bags and filters, put essential oils in the bag and it doesn't help.
Finally got fed up with it and tried to get to the bottom of it this morning. I isolated the source of the smell to the tube and handle by removing it from the base and turning the hoover on-no smell from the base unit so must be the tubing.
So I had a good sniff and nosey in the hard plastic curved bit that attaches to the hose and to the metal tubing and inside is caked with what I can only describe as cheesy looking clumps. I've cleaned that and voila!-no smell. Smile Could it be something like that?
