Can you recommend a large capacity washing machine that can handle duvets?

That isn't an LG. We've had endless trouble with our 11kg LG and I will never buy another LG as no one would come out to repair it.

DS wets the bed a lot so really need to be able to chuck a duvet in it.

Can you take the duvet to a launderette?

Is it a single duvet?

My washing maching is a Miele 8kg and a single duvet fits in well

A single should fit in fine but if you have a spare duvet, try soaking the duvet in the bath with some washing powder before washing it as it really gets it soaked right through and will make sure it's properly cleaned.

Too much hassle taking it to a laundrette when it can fit in a washing machine.

I'd really like a larger capacity than 8kg as it has been great having an 11kg load capacity. Plus it washed our king size duvet no bother.

I've always managed to get my double duvet in any washing machine. Fold it lengthwise then roll up tight like a sleeping bag then cram it in. It's mostly air anyway so it's not too heavy for the machine.
