Shit DS squished blueberry on cream seat pad on chair

Not one I can remove and wash. It's one where the fabric is stapled.
How can I get it off?
I have the vanish stick you rub on but then needs to be washed.
Do I just dab with water using kitchen towel? Is it fucked ruined?

I would use a sponge and bio washing powder and scrub.
then rinse and pat dry with towels.
if you can lug the chair outside so it can dry and the sun can bleach it.

As above - but I'm afraid I'd be fairly pessimistic about complete recovery. There are some things that can come up as new but that doesn't sound like one of them.

Are the chairs fairly new? If so, and you act quickly in the event of failure, you stand a reasonable chance of having the fabric replaced by the manufacturer if it's imperative because they might have some of that particular fabric left.

(Alternatively, you could do your best but aim to replace the lot at your friendly local furniture re-coverer at some point when DS has learned more care. I think I'd go - on general principle - for a darker colour next time. )

Thanks, I've done as suggested and it's actually looking ok. Will wait til it dries to see the final result but so far so good.

No it's not new, it's really old actually but has been in storage for years and got it out Tuesday evening so we can start sitting with DS to eat at s table we usually eat sitting on sofa and DS in his highchair so it lasted less than 48 hours. Obviously wouldn't choose cream now we have an 11month old! I don't think it'll be long and I'll have to recover them. I've got a staple gun, it can't be that hard right? Anyway no need yet, just if he does something else to them.. probably tomorrow

in the meantime cover dc's seat with a towel?

We're just coming up to the start of evening class time if you have a local college etc - maybe have a look for a class on re-upholstery? (They're extremely popular so you need to get in fast.) Much of it isn't too hard but it could give you some extra confidence in your work.

I would recover sooner rather than later. It'll need doing sometime. It's easy with a staple gun, just keep the fabric taut.

I think furnishing grade leather effect vinyl is widely available if you want something wipeable and long lasting. Ours is from Abakhan Fabrics.
