We rent our flat and during colder months have issues with mould. I have worked hard to get of it with dehumidifier, heating, opening windows etc. I also treated the walls and it hasn't returned (yet).
However, there is a slight lingering smell which I think is due to the kingsize bed - either mattress, the base or headboard, I can't tell. I want to deal with this mustiness, which is quite slight, because it is annoying. Also, more importantly, I am expecting DC2 and will probably co sleep again and want to ensure it is as safe and clean as possible.
Any recommendations. I have heard you can steam clean a mattress - but how?! It is a massive beast, really thick! I'm up for hiring a steam cleaning machine if needed.
