Vileda or string mop? Is white vinegar in warm water ok or should I be using a specialised cleaner?

I steam mine. It takes a few minutes.

A proper wood floor cleaner will nourish the wood

Real or laminate?

I did lots of googling about laminate floor cleaning last weekend. Microfibre mop seems to be the answer. I know dry mop to pick up dust and then damp mop (using Method floor cleaner). Seems to be working!

the Method almond stuff is great

I like the smell of the method almond stuff, but wonder where the dirt goes. Are you really supposed to just swish it about the floor with no bucket of water?

I use a steam mop with a tiny dash of zoflora in the water tank. It comes up beautifully. Real wood floors I use a microfibre mop and method almond cleaner

Can you use a steam mop on engineered wood floors?

Pinkcloud6 · 19/07/2015 17:39

I have real wood and engineered. I use a microfibres mop and an old towel. Mop then wipe down with towel.
