Help!! Ds has drawn, with pink chalk, down the side of our bed!

It's an original Victorian bedstead with a hard base snd then the mattress on top. He has drawn on the material of the hard base, so I cannot get to the back of it to take the fabric off. Amy ideas how to get it off? Tia

I would try hitting it quite hard with something firm but soft (stuffed sock or something) - the chalk particles can often be 'bounced' out.
If not hoover, or try a very soft brush so that the fabric isn't damaged.

DD has drawn with pink and blue chalk on the carpet and vacuuming didn't remove it. The blue chalk was wet because she drew in the shower first.

Perhaps put sellotape or similar over the chalk and lift off? I do this will lily pollen if it falls on the floor. Good luck.
