Cylinder or upright tell me about your vacuum......

Right my Dyson is buggered and i'm not going there again so please do not suggest a Dyson. We need a new vacuum today and I need to know which ones you've found successful either cylinder or upright and maybe even the ones that clean the carpet too at a reasonable price.

TIA

I have a hoover synergy which I like, but I think I would go bagless next time.
I have think the Henry is popular on here.

Sebo

Not cheap, but we have had no trouble with in 3 years.

Will try and find a link.

Miele is great and I would recommend a cylinder as they tend to be better when it comes to using tools, have longer hoses, are more stable and more manoueverable(sp).

I've just been bought a robotic vacuum cleaner. Called a Roomba, you switch it on and off it goes. Fantastic. Only problem is that it needs re-charging after everyroom, but hey small price to pay for getting someone else to vacuum under your bed for you

at robotic vaccuum!
Thanks everyone LGJ I would love a sebo but just can't stretch to one. Having looked at the Henry and the vax pro V100 we've decided on the Vax. Dp's going to pick it up now.

Well, we just got a new one, no idea what make, from Tesco, cylinder, for £30. Cleaner says it's good. Dh would have gone for a more expensive one but I think it does the job. We went for cylinder on the basis that our utility room is small and it's easier to manoeuvre.

Yeah this one is a cylinder too I think it will be much better on the stairs etc.
