I came home to the burglar alarm going off and half my power off. Took ages so sort but then when the power came back on the washer started up again and it became clear what the issue had been. There was a terrible smell coming from it and I thought I saw steam or smoke. It is empty and off now and probably irreparable.

I wash a lot. Easily double figure amounts each week and never have a day where it isn't on at least twice. I need 40 and 60 degree washes plus hand wash facility/woollens. I would like a timer so I know how long to go but it doesn't need to make my dinner or iron my shirts.

Can anyone please recommend a brand and model and does anyone know about ao.com that says same day delivery is possible?

YoureMyWifeNowDave · 01/06/2015 19:07

We have just got one of the samsung ecobubble machines from ao.com - machine is great so far and the service from ao was brilliant we ordered thursday evening and it was delivered and installed by 07:10 friday morning!

gamerchick · 01/06/2015 19:07

I got mine from there was well... Fantastic service, take away your old machine for recycling and also do an insurance so you never have to buy a machine again.

Justusemyname · 01/06/2015 19:18

Actually, we have insurance. Thanks everyone.

Does it have to be an Eco bubble? there are cheaper machines, mine wasn't even 250 quid.

CPtart · 01/06/2015 19:37

My DH works for ao.com. I will read him these comments, he'll be made up!

Justusemyname · 01/06/2015 19:37

Bugger. Cut off for tomorrow was 7pm. It's coming Wednesday now. We've got a whirlpool coming.

I offered cake but they still said Wednesday.

meant to say beko..but see I'm too late you've bought already

Justusemyname · 01/06/2015 19:44

Thanks anyway, we wouldn't buy beko as bad experiences previously put us off.

Don't worry about not being able to get the Eco bubble, I had the top one (£800 or so quid).

Worst machine I ever had, totally dead after 7 months.

I'm sure there are people who have got on great with theirs, but after the barney I had with Samsung trying to sort it, I learned that it is not a good machine by any means and the Eco bubble thing is actually useless (not a con per se, but creates the very problem you don't want in a front loading automatic).

However, as mentioned up thread, AO is brilliant. cptart a few of my colleagues went the AO when leaving the company where I work, they say it's an amazing place to work, so sounds like a good company all round :)
