Can anybody advise me on if this is a good idea?

I live in a mid terraced house, to the back of it we have a decent sized brick outhouse. It's water tight, damp proofed and has electricity and double glazing.

I already have my dryer in there, however I'd like to have washing machine in there too. My reason for doing this is so I can have a dishwasher put in my kitchen where the washer currently is.

Does anybody have an idea on how much it would roughly cost to have a plumber fit and install the correct pipes running from the house? We already have an outside tap so in theory it should be easy, or am I been totally naive!

We did this a few years ago. The outhouse used to be an outside toilet, so it was about £100 to remove the toilet and cap the waste pipe and change the pipes about and adding the right connecting end. We had to ensure we got a cold fill washing machine though, as no hot water running to the outhouse.

Easiest to get someone in to look at your set up I would imagine, but it was doable for us. Annoying to go out there in bad weather to retrieve washing though!
