batinshoes · 27/10/2006 08:44

Morning all.

Motivation being sent your way squatchette

DD slept in until 8.15. Amazing. Must be lack of daytime nap.

So we have been up 30 mins and I have unloaded d/w, done breakfast, reloaded d/w and rewiped kitchen surfaces.

morning!
will do the mission later. the only thing i've done in the bedroom this week was 15 minutes of decluttering
today we're going grocery shopping and i will blitz the downstairs.

QuootieSpookypie · 27/10/2006 08:50

batinshoes · 27/10/2006 08:54

OP posts:
QuootieSpookypie · 27/10/2006 08:54

airing the mattress

jessicaandrebeccasmummy · 27/10/2006 08:57

i feel pooey too - got a stinking headache, Jess refused to go to bed last night so at 10pm i took her out in the car for half an hour and she fell asleep.

bad night all round.

What have i done in the bedroom this week - nothing! I really have been off the rails this week, but i will catch up and get it all done at some point over the weekend.

peegeeweegeeWITCH · 27/10/2006 08:57

Morning guys...

Sorry you are feeling ill Quootie, sending some healing thoughts your way...
Hope you feel better soon.

I did my bed yesterday as it was covered in mud and grass(the dog had jumped on it with muddy paws and dh said he would love to be able to just get into bed without having to garden in first...)

Am going to check out a few of the local farms today to source some pumpkins for carving with the children.
Will do some laundry, and some daily stuff, but until dh removes the spare chest of drawers and old school desk (removed from ds's room and plonked in our room until we decide what to do with it..) from the bedroom there is nothing more I can do in there to make it look nice...

QuootieSpookypie · 27/10/2006 09:03

DS was a bugger sleeping. I bathed him, let him have a play, brushed his tooth... he cried as he was tired and hungry, took him to bed and he dozed... then woke up kicking abaout and laughing! Was about 9pm when he went to sleep. Then he woke about 9 times... must be getting the cold I have or something. I was crying in the middle of the night I was so tired, but DH had to go to work really early, so, I just have to get on with it That emergency formula in the cupboard was looking very tempting last night!

tessasmum · 27/10/2006 09:23

Poor you Q. Its SO hard in the middle of the night isn't it?
Two things that might (or might not) help. We switched DS to one formula feed last thing at night at about 7mths, it DID NOT make him sleep through the night. He's nearly a year now and still doesn't sleep through!
The other thing I was told was never decide to change things in the middle of the night when you are likely to sell him to the highest bidder just to get some sleep Wait till the morning when you should be slightly more rational.
Curling up in the living room sounds a great idea, FLYing can wait.

ludaloo · 27/10/2006 10:00

hugs to Quootie and JARM....sorry you aren't feeling well....nice big bar of choccie and a big mug o tea coming your way!!!!!!!!

I did this mission on Monday..so I won't do it today. I am going on a sticky finger mission...I have sticky marks EVERYWHERE!!!!!!
Got a friend coming round for lunch and her 5 year old is staying the night so I need to generally tidy too.

Hope you are feeling better soon

batinshoes · 27/10/2006 10:10

Isnt it amazing how much you can get done under threat of someone coming over? It dawned on me earlier that my friend is coming to bath DD and put her to bed tonight as DH and I are going to a party.

In the last hour I have showered, dressed, cleaned the bathroom (completely as it will be used in bath process), cleaned my bedroom (inc bedside tables and dressing table which i ignored earlier this week) and cleaned my DDs room (inc picking up all toys and dusting).

I did my bed last night as the cat had covered it in hair. So, all that is left is the hoovering

OP posts:
ludaloo · 27/10/2006 10:13

definately Bat!!! Usually a mad dash round for me, but you can do loads!
Hope you have a great night! A Party sounds great!

SusiSkelletonInTheCloset · 27/10/2006 10:19

Q and jarm sorry to hear you are having a rough time!! ((((big hugs)))
can i join the 'no-sleeping-club' though?
think it's the 5th night in a row with very little sleep (now i've got the cold 'aaargh'; after ds and dd!) [sigh]

guess we mums have to get on with it

at least dinner is cooking away (tried the slow cooker again with some kind of lamb stew )

kids are rather good today - maybe they've finally realised not to play me ALL the time.

what is everyone up to today?
weather is quite nice here for a change.
so if i get myself to actually get up i might take the kids over to the park ... but no promises!

Surfermummystomb · 27/10/2006 10:24

Morning all. We were up late too, thank goodness. It's been a bit of a shock to the system this week as we've had step-d to stay and on 2 days I've had to get 2 of them up and ready to go to holiday club/Grandma's by 8.45.

Ok, ok I can see those of you with 3/4 children who do it every day rolling your eyes .

Didn't do yesterdays mission as I was at work, so will do it in a minute and will get dh to help me with today's tonight. However, despite failing to do the mission I got in from work and did a load of jobs that I wouldn't normally do so I keep on top of things.

Hope all of those feeling grotty today get well soon.

QuootieSpookypie · 27/10/2006 10:56

eco cleaning

home made cleaning products. All im up to is looking up about cleaning online!!

ludaloo · 27/10/2006 11:03

oohhh. I have made my own "Anthea" cleaning products (not much cop I have to say)....these might be worth a look though

batinshoes · 27/10/2006 11:07

that link is great Q. I have bookmarker and when my lovely chemical things run out may actually go and buy some vinegar and bicarb. does anyone here actually use them? are they better? i do try and use ecover where possible...

OP posts:
QuootieSpookypie · 27/10/2006 11:09

i use bicarb and its brilliant! reeeeeeeeeally good for shining sinks & taps

QuootieSpookypie · 27/10/2006 11:10

theres 2 pages in that link.

ludaloo · 27/10/2006 11:17

I tried Antheas cooker cleaning mixture....
Borax and Bicarb... It really didn't do a lot I have to say...had to resort to bleach and a brillo pad...Maybe if you already have a sparkling cooker like Anthea...her mixture works....certainly couldn't cut through the burned on bits around the hot plates though

ludaloo · 27/10/2006 11:19

I also mixed up some spray she suggested...bicarb, vinegar, water and some essential oil...hard to say if it really works...doesn't get limescale off..but smells nice! I think again...it works but only if whatever you are using it on isn't too mucky

Skribble · 27/10/2006 11:32

Morning all,

I have been having a bit of a paperwork morning, so CV and letter printed off for a job, invoice printed off that should havebeen done ages ago, its a biggy too . And 2 parcels to do for ebay, adresses printed off so just need to package up the goods.

Washed front door mat as it was bogging and creating more muck than it was catching, and dishwasher on.

I won't be stripping bed today that will be done in fortnight on Tuesday, kids beds due next tuesday SO DON@T MESS WITH MY ROUTINE KELLY, now the rest of you "have fun with that task"

This afternoon I have to go hunting for a pink witch outfit, decided cheaper to have lunch at home then go, plus drop off the party bags. Oh and pay visa, bummer time to raid the joint account oh and petrol, def raid joint account .

Skribble · 27/10/2006 11:33

I keep trying to buy bicarb but shelf always empty in supermarket, must be all the flyers and athea wannabes [grin. Can you buy bigger packs rather than the little tubs? Remind me where do you get borax?

Cappuccino · 27/10/2006 11:38

have read the mission and am tbh

FEBREEZE in your bed?

no vacuuming the mattress?

I shall take points off flylady

Cappuccino · 27/10/2006 11:39

oh just read the eco cleaning bit so thought would add tuppenceworth

a drop of patchouli essential oil in water in a spray bottle is good for spraying mattress - I do mine every time and let it air - kills dust mites apparently (not two drops though cos is v strong)

better than Febreeze anyway (mutter mutter)
