lol jarm and if you find one rather cheap please get one for me too!!!

well, our playroom is in fact the conservatory but it was either that or toys in the lounge - and it IS rather nice having the lounge toys free
ds has only started playing upstairs so has only a few toys in his room. only problem is that we have a stairgate for dd so ds can't actually go in his room when he wants to. i hope once that's gone both will magically disappear to the upper regions

since last post:

  • ate an apple (trying to get back on my diet )
  • played 10min with kids
  • looking online for slowcooker recipes (found a good one; now i have to sit down and do meal planner)
jasnDISMemBERED · 18/10/2006 10:42

Susi - link to good slow cooker recipes please...

Hi all.

well, i've looked after DD, been to post office to collect a parcel and cleaned kitchen.

Everywhere else is a tip and we are going away for a few days tomorrow It had been my plan to leave the place all sparkly for when we get back but with DD poorly its not going to happen.

peegeeweegeeWITCH · 18/10/2006 11:21

Hi all...

Having a much better morning, found some motivation from somewhere... (or did one of you send me a virtual boot up the backside?? )

So far today I have walked ds to school, put away yesterdays load of washing, did a load of washing, hung it out and tumbledrying some of it right now, have made bread (using breadmaker), have done washing up and put away, have wiped over kitchen surfaces, have wiped down bathroom surfaces and straightened accessories and have tidied up dd's room (she plays in there)and collected some old/broken toys ready to get rid off after I have taken her to nursery...

Still want to dust and sweep bathroom, dd's room, landing and master bedroom, and then I am calling it quits for today.

Right, off to get a duster... sigh....

jessicaandrebeccasmummy · 18/10/2006 11:24

Im hacked off.... see my DEBT COLLECTION LETTER thread in legal/money matters..... NOT a happy girl, hence all motivation has got up and gone!!!

Hi, I am another newbie to this FLYing thang - I started last week. Had to massively resist the tempatation to go ballastic at cleaning for a couple of days and then give up. Am also 35 weeks PG so going bonkers at the cleaning would have not been a good idea anyway. At the mo I am trying to just establish a bit of cleaning stuff in my morning routine (take washing downstairs, washing the pots, clearing them away and blitzing the hotspots which are my dining table and coffee table and the upstairs spare bed)and do the mission while my toddler is asleep. My hubbie has noticed already how nice it looks and I am feeling v chuffed as I am not a natural born clean and tidy person. My bathroom looks nice and less cluttered after the last two days missions, but my hubbie (who lurves doing laundry) already washed the bathmats last week and they look fine. We have no shower curtain and DS is asleep so can't do his room at the mo. So instead I have scrubbed the fronts of all my kitchen cabinets and cleaned the outside of the kitchen bin and am feeling v worthy now, so I can lurk on the board here and maybe have some mummy-time!

pippah · 18/10/2006 11:31

Oh and I am also washing through all the new nappies for babe no. 2. Think that is more than enough for one day!

Bloodredruby - my DS is 18 months also and love to help me round the house. Today he helped me wipe the kitchen cupboards, yesterday he got out the dustpan and brush and swept the floor. He must have seen the hubby do that one, don't think that I've ever done it...!

TortUREoiseChamber · 18/10/2006 13:09

Welcome pippah.

Ive been to mother and toddlers this morning as well as taking DS's to school!
Am now trying to do a Tesco order for party food!!
Hope to do some FLYing after that. Glad everyone liked my spider!

shazdisembodiedronnie · 18/10/2006 13:10

TortUREoiseChamber · 18/10/2006 13:44

SusiSkelletonInTheCloset · 18/10/2006 14:06

SusiSkelletonInTheCloset · 18/10/2006 14:07

oh yessssssssssssss!!

'dancing around with both hands in the air'

SusiSkelletonInTheCloset · 18/10/2006 14:10

since last post i .. didn't do much

  • emptied dryer
  • reloaded dryer
  • reloaded w/m
  • started folding washing
  • realised it was time to get ds ready for nursery
  • realised i had to eat something before i head into town (or i would stuff my face with silly things once there)
  • 'cooked' tuna/sweetcorn spread
  • ate in with toast
  • changed ds clothes
  • drove him there (we would have walked but dd was still asleep and i didn't want to wake her and left her with (also sleeping) dp)

since coming back ..

  • checking up on you ladies
  • having a cuppa and biscuits while doing so
  • posted link to 'slow cooker recipes'

no wonder i am exhausted

TortUREoiseChamber · 18/10/2006 14:14

Suis you have been busy!
Well done for doing link. I will have a good look at it later.
All i have managed to do is a Tesco order!!!

jessicaandrebeccasmummy · 18/10/2006 14:17

i have done not a lot!

  • Tidied toys away
  • Woke Becky from nap
  • Went to Asda for a few bits
  • Came back and put shopping away
  • Made girls lunch
  • Tidied away lunch stuff
  • Hoovered living room
  • Put Jess for a nap
  • Have put becky up for anap, but she is still fighting it (not crying though!)
  • Phoned dad and DH for a chat
  • Sat here!
asleep · 18/10/2006 14:21

hello to newbies!

i've been going through all the weaning books and magazine pages i've kept and wrote down recipes and a big list of what to try DS with and when he's allowed certain foods. it took me ages!

i'm off to stick loads of stuff in bags to take to the charity shop later.

scarymaryme · 18/10/2006 14:32

hello all and to newpeople, I have tidied kids rooms now...haven't made cake yet though..can't be bothered I don't think!

TortUREoiseChamber · 18/10/2006 15:00

Right have finally finished Tesco order! Was searching for a decent discount code! Only one that worked was £5 off! Oh well!

Now need to do some FLYing!

Apronscreams · 18/10/2006 15:11

ok, its 10am for me - bigs are in school. One on a school trip, one with photo day, did a safeway shop on the way home. Washing machine is broken - so i am waiting for the repair man. confined to the house so perfect time for flying. Will do the bath mats when the machine is (hopefuly)fixed.
Unfortunately dd2 just didn't stay asleep after the food shop so she'll have to do her own special type of helping

TortUREoiseChamber · 18/10/2006 15:47

Brushed kitchen floor on hands and knees with dustpan brush because big brush was wet. Also at the same time entertained DD2 and became her horse!
Multi-tasking? Easy peesy!! LOL

Better do some more clearing now!

spiderplant · 18/10/2006 16:04

hi all, am new to FLYing, love the tips and things, need motivation so this is good!

TortUREoiseChamber · 18/10/2006 16:05

Who was it that was looking for stacking blocks? Ive just found some at the bottom of the toy box! FFP if interested. Not perfect condition but fine to play with!

TortUREoiseChamber · 18/10/2006 16:05
