How to make my house smell of Christmas trees

DannyShouldHaveChosenRizzo · 06/12/2014 13:23

I have a fake Christmas tree this year but really want the house to smell like it does with a real tree.
Does anyone know of anything I can use to get that lovely smell? Candle? Oil?
I have sniffed the yankee Christmas offerings and none smell right.
Thanks in advance! Smile

Saw some Christmas tree scent-thingy you can hang off an artificial tree at a garden centre.

Squirt some toilet cleaner on it? Grin

There's a Yankee candle called mistletoe smells of pine trees. It's available now online. Also marks did a great room spray and candles last year that was very nice, they may well do it again this year?

Oohhh thank you.
I thought that the yankee Christmas candles I smelt did smell of toilet cleaner but they didn't have the mistletoe one in.
Off to Google now! Smile

There are stick things you can get that hang on the tree - called Scentsicles, get them from garden centres and they're brilliant.

Pine range from the white company is lovely.

Titsalinabumsquash · 06/12/2014 22:02

We have ScentSicles! We have the red 'Wreath' (this is the best Christmassy one) and the Cinnamon ones, I wouldn't get Spruce if I were you, it smells thoroughly unpleasant. Pine and Fir are passable.

ILikeToClean · 06/12/2014 22:14

Yes red wreath Scentsicles are the best!

Fairyfellowsmasterstroke · 06/12/2014 22:21

Is the Snow Berry Wreath (red label) the same??????

Titsalinabumsquash · 06/12/2014 22:23

My friend had set a pan of water with pine needles and cinnamon sticks on top of her wood burner today - it smelt amazing. I don't have that kind of stove though Sad
