What's the best cleaning machine for wooden floors?

We have a lot of old wooden floorboard, varnished but quite gappy and a couple of large rugs. I've been through various cleaners, a Vax and a Bissel but they are all huge and cumbersome and the cleaner is afraid of them - I just want something I can roll out without spending hours changing attachments. Are any of the steam mops suitable?

I'm just a bit useless at cleaning Blush.

I clean quite a few wooden floors. Hoover first to get the muck up then a good mop, wooden floor solution and not too wet.
ta daaaa lovely every time. Wink

Sounds like awfully hard work, oneskinny I was looking for something magic Grin

Sorry that was for flatcap. Our search goes on Skinny - I'm going to get a steam mop from Lakeland and give it a go this afternoon.

I'm looking for something magic too :o

Which one are you getting Lidl?

lidlbit · 19/11/2014 12:33

Probably this one if it looks like it's ok for wooden floorboards. Mine have big gaps between them jammed with lego, play doh, debit cards, etc. Grin.

Its only the same amount of work as the steamer really. Same action.
But should you find the magic something I'll be the first to jump on the band wagon. Wink

Vacuum first then Bona floor mop for wooden floors. Amazon or Lakeland.

Agree with Bona mop - it's what museums use!
