Mine is usually around £80. Three under tens (two only just and huge appetites!) and two adults.

readysteady · 07/11/2014 19:49

Ours is £140 including 3 kids under 10 2 adults 2 dogs and 4 cats and including cleaning and toiletries

readysteady · 07/11/2014 19:50

I'm not scrimping though. I can do it much less if I have to.

Depends where I shop- we are :me and Dh, dd's (20 +18), dd's fiancé (20) and ds 7- so basically 5-6 people depending on who's around! I spend anything between £85-£140. Less if shopping at Lidl, more if using Sainsbury delivery. That includes cleaning products but not dog food.

poorbuthappy · 07/11/2014 20:24

£100 each fortnight. ALDI plus yoghurt/tomato sauce shop at asda.

OnlyWantsOne · 08/11/2014 18:04

We budget £150

That's me and DH plus 3 kids 8 and under. One has school dinners weekday. Two younger have packed lunch.

That includes cleaning materials.

Today I did a big shop including nappies and washing detergent, a chicken to roast lots of mince and pork chops (normally don't eat that much meat so some will go in freezer) and lots of good food - for £140 then got £10 off coupons from last week.

ourbabybeau · 09/11/2014 03:33

Gosh i'm shocked at this already- we have a budget of £150 a week for four and that doesn't included pet food, nappies, wipes etc. Then again we don't shop at ALDI/LIDL as there isn't one nearby

plus my other half is a snob

poocatcherchampion · 09/11/2014 08:03

blmey! we spend £50 for 4. ( we are pretty tight though)

About £50 in lidl
£20 in tesco
£10 school lunch for dd1
And then £100 every 4-6 weeks in costco for bulk stuff (loo rolls, frozen sea bass, side of salmon, washing powder and dog food).
So probably £100 per week.

whojamaflip · 09/11/2014 08:12

Average spend is £65 in aldi , £20 top up in sainsburys for things like walkers crisps, full fat squash and beer!

Another £15 a month in the agri suppliers for cat and dog food.

2 adults, 4 kids, 1 dog, 3 cats

No money so tends to
Concentrate the mind somewhat Hmm

I spend £40-£45 in Aldi on the bulk of my shopping, then about £5 on branded junk from home bargains/ B&M etc and another £10/£15 on fresh bits and pieces. So probably around £60 for five of us DC are 11,8,3. We eat a lot of veg based meals with a bit of meat, rather than meat with a bit of veg, and use lots off eggs as we keep our own chickens.

I do save up vouchers too like the £5 off £40 Aldi shop third Thursday of the month in the Mirror. Its valid for 7 days so I can do two £5 off shops. I also shop first thing and buy the 50% off meat and base our food around that.

Once in a while (every couple of months) i'll go to Tesco instead of Aldi and do a big shop and buy bits that I wouldn't/ couldn't at Aldi and that probably costs more like £100 that week.

greenfolder · 09/11/2014 14:12

just done aldi shop. £77 including bleach, washing powder. Prob about £90-£100 on average.

TerryDolittle · 11/11/2014 11:06

2 adults 3 children (10,8,4)
If I'm being extremely cheap I can manage £60 but a more comfortable shop is roughly £80-£90 all from Asda.
