DDs lovely roman blinds have a water stain (rusty wiggly line) which I'd love to remove. What's the best way please? TIA.

Is the lining cotton? I used to make roman blinds and I would probably unpick and replace the lining but if you are not adept at such things that might be a stretch too far.

I guess you could try 1001 carpet and upholstery wipes. I use them a lot in my house for marks on the carpet and soft furnishings. I buy then from Wilkinsons. I like them as they are moist but don't soak the material you are trying to clean. Could be worth a go.

Is the blind patterned ? I have cleaned blinds made minging by tenants by taking them off and putting them in the bath and spraying them with Dettol mould and mildew remover. You can't leave it on too long . Pour clear water on top after about four minutes. As long as the Dettol is sprayed all over and spread with a sponge it hasn't left a mark on blinds that were cream and lavender.

Thanks both. The blind itself has no stains, just the lining, and it's quite a pale stripe pattern so not sure I'm brave enough to put it in the bath!! Not sure I'm up to replacing it NENM but will give the wipes a go. Thanks again.
