need a new washer and am looking at a bosch one. (bosch exxcel)
I want one that can actually be repaired (i.e. it cn actually be opened to replace parts).

Depends what breaks. Most machines can be repaired, but a lot of new washers now have sealed outer tubs, which means if the bearings go, it's had it. I think only high end Bosch, Siemens and all Miele machines are now the only brands to use split tubs.

thanks, and how can I find out if this mashine has a split tub?
it isn't in the specs online (it seems, or I just can't find it)

No, it's not something that is published. It varies between models too. 2 different models by the same brand can have 2 different tubs. The only ones I know for certain are Bosch Logixx machines and all the Miele range.

It might be worth going and asking at your local independent retailer. Currys won't have a clue.

thanks a lot.
and if I see the mashine in the shop is there a way to tell?
