Apologies if it doesn't belong here, but I didn't know where else to ask.

How much do entertainers (magicians, clowns, etc) charge? We live in London.

I am talking just about one performer.

Thanks!

Sorry, but it is ever so variable. Round here (SE, not London) it varies from £60 to about £400. The best rates IME are usually people who run it alongside weekly classes, eg dance. Most offer the option of doing an hour or so slot, or running the whole party from start to finish. You do need to talk to them individually.

We are in London just had Mr Lolly for our 5 year old's party - he charged £350 and was worth every penny. He had 40 children of various ages utterly entranced and knew exactly how to keep them entertained for the full 2 hours. He is the best entertainer I have seen.

I must say, I never thought I would be spending that sort of money on an entertainer. Or having that many children to a party. Wasn't like that in my day [old gimmer]

Very variable. £250-350?

Thanks! I am afraid it's out of our budget then :(

Will have to think of other ways to entertain the little rascals! (Games, pinhata, etc)

We went to a couple of birthday parties this year that didn't have entertainers. They had party games, and kept the number of guests small. I think that's key. Both parties were just lovely, really great.

Thanks! I think 10-15 children will be a good number.

Last year's party we rented a venue, facepainter, etc and it escalated to more than £500. We are trying to keep it a bit more reasonable this year.

North east England. Magic myrtle (magician) was under 200 quid for 2h party. She was great. Neice in guildford had captain fantastic for similar price. He was good too.
