Hwo to get blood out of bed sheets

Any top tips ladies?
My washing machine only has cold water, not hot. And the stains in the bed sheets are a couple of years old...

couple of years old - no chance!

fresh ones, soak overnight in bucket of cold salty water. Wash as normal.

Blood is really easy to get out if you rinse the sheets out in cold water, right after they get stained.

I'd throw them out after a few years.

oh god, I'm really embarrasing myself here...the sheets only have little stains of blood, nothing noticeable, but I'm in full on cleaning mode and have a list. Thanks

I wouldn't throw otherwise good sheets out because they had a few little stains on them. Why would you?

We have the same problem anthea (dp wears shoes that rub and make his feet bleed) and I have never got the stains out. It doesn't bother me, it is just a mark.

The only time it really bothers me is when its summer, and I want to use the sheets to sleep in, rather then a duvet. Then you see them, so as its summer I wanted to try and tackle the problem once and for all!
