How to get red wine stains out of top already been washed

I spilt red wine on a top, put salt on it, then put it in the washing machine. The red wine has not come out. I am not sure if I was supposed to wipe of the salt first before washing the top I only have a cold water washing machine, is there any way I will get the stain out now my top has been washed and dryed?

Vanish inwash is great stuff but if the stain has been washed already it tends to 'set' and not come out.

its been building up and building up, I have decided to take charge, and get on top of the situation. I have no kids or anything, it's pathetic ...: )

Vanish do a new product..It's one bottle with two separate sections. You squeeze the bottle and the two liquids come out separately but merge together on the stain and fizz. It is fantastic. It's a bit scary when you read the warnings on the bottle though.

in my cleaning folder there is a tip saying

for red wine marks, put the partof the item of stained clothing above a bowl, put borax on the stain and pour hot water over it. let it soak then wash as normal.

if it was me i'd just use ACE. The blue bottle works on everything, the white bottle is magical but only use it on 100% white things as it is like neat bleach.
