If you could have a cleaner do a deep clean what would you ask them to do?

We have a new cleaner and also increased the hours of cleaning we have. She's so much better than the last cleaner that I'm struggling to find things for her to do. What would you ask her to do.

She's already cleaned the oven, cleaned the fridge, washed the carpets.

Clean the grease off the top of the kitchen cupboards, or more specifically the edges of the cupboards where you can actually see it. Its a horrible job though.

And all the filters etc in the extractor fan.

Empty kitchen cupboards, clean inside, wipe down the dusty rarely used things and put bck tidily.

Move all furniture and clean behind.

She could do one cupboard a week til they are all done. Then your fridge will need doing again!

Mine would be all high dusting, as I never really do it; all inside woodwork; inside windows; and oven and extractor fan.

part of the problem is that we have just had a new kitchen and utility room and so everything is all new and clean still!

Clean all internal windows and windowsills, wipe down the skirting boards, deep clean the grouting in the bathroom woe all dust off the u-bends and pipe work behind basins.

All jobs I hate doing and would happily pay someone else to to do!

Knock an hour off her time. She's obviously doing a great job and works faster than your last cleaner.

Send her round mine! I'll find her things to do!

My housekeeper (who works very fast) does a couple of things every week that I consider periodic or desperate clean jobs.

I've never given her a list (actually I tried to on her first day and she just said why don't you see how I go and if you're unhappy we can reassess after a month - we've never looked back )

Jobs include:
Inside of ovens
Inside of windows
Clean carpets/rugs/upholstery (we tend to get some in a specialist but she organises/supervises
Defrost freezer
Clean fridge
Minor repairs to clothes - loose hems/missing buttons
Polish silver
Polish wooden furniture
Label school uniform

Wash down walls on stairs - lots of grubby hand prints
Descale shower heads
Turn mattresses
Sorts cupboards/pantry

She also does weekly change beds and launders and iron sheets etc. - maybe you could ask her to do that?

Doesnt seem right to cut her hours because she does a good job!

There'll always be jobs to do.

Do you have bookshelves? Ask her to take the books off, dust them and the shelves - they can get really dusty, but it's the kind of thing you don't notice until you come to move things.
