Recommendations for pillows that will go through the wash and/or waterproof pillow protectors

It's been a rough week (it's only Tuesday!). Both DS's were sick in the night and the pillows got a direct hit.

Despite the fact they were machine washable they have come out completely mangled.

Where can I get pillows that will wash?

Which waterproof pillow protectors are good (perhaps that is the way forward...)?

I just throw them away if they have been puked on as they always go lumpy when washed.

I also tend to throw them away if they get manky. I don't buy horribly expensive pillows though.

I have these they can be washed at 60 degrees and they dont go lumpy or twisted.

Thank you for the link, I will give them a try. I was buying cheap pillows but I'm on 3 this month already!

Personally gave up on this.
Did think about dry cleaning, but the cost was more than a new cheapish pillow.

Also now resorted to using three pillow cases on a pillow. [pillow protectors not much good either]. So just end up going through pillow cases quickly instead of pillows.

When that pillow is washed captainpig, how dirty was it to begin with? And how clean is it afterwards?
