How do I stop neighbours' cats using my garden as a toilet?

I am absolutely fed up of removing cat poo from my garden - I've just cleared up 3 lots today and it's a disgusting job!!! I've tried using cat repellent granules but they haven't solved the problem.

Any advice gratefully received.

I'm going to buy some oranges when I go shopping tomorrow. I'll let you know if it works!

Did anyone watch Mock the Week last night? somebody said the best cure would be going round to the owners house and doing a poop in the cat litter in the kitchen

Apparently leaving small bowls of water around will deter them or so my dh says when next door is complaining about our cats (I hasten to add that my cats only use their garden path as a thoroughfare and not a toilet) Not sure if it works though.
