What is the best way to store away clothes for many years?

Hi, I'd like to make my daughter a memory box of some of her old dresses and soft toys along with the photographs of her wearing them and holding the toys.
They are very good quality and some were hand made for her. All in cotton or silk.
I've seen these vacuum bags, but they're not very attractive. I'd like something pretty, that will also keep the clothes in good condition.
Thank you. Smile

rigid translucent plastic crates allow you to put stuff in without crushing. Hardly pretty though.

Put a Transfluthrin moth killer in each and tape round the lid/crate joint to prevent anything getting in (the killers last a few months). They do not smell of mothballs.

Moths are the greatest enemy of clothes in storage.

try a wedding dress preservation service?

although good luck getting quotes, none of the ones I've tried can be bothered. Business must be good.

Thank you both. Smile

My wedding dress is in a box with acid free tissue paper.
That with the moth stuff Piglet mentioned ought to do it.

Yeah don't do the vacuum packed thing - I stored some clothes like that and the creases caused by the pack NEVER came out.
