Family Fun Day eh? Right....taking DH to the cineam this afternoon then.....can be instead of our date night!!!

Quootiepie · 12/08/2006 10:17

OP posts:
coggy · 12/08/2006 10:22

I'm off to hang the washing out!!!

They said to do no housework or cleaning as it was Family Fun Day and then sent me another email saying go sort your laundry!!!!

Surely the FLYwooman is not being hypocritical??!!

tortoise · 12/08/2006 10:29

Well ive already tidied and hoovered and wiped down after breakfast!
Let the fun begin!

mummy2ashton · 12/08/2006 11:41

i think i am getting ocd with my sink!!!

coggy · 12/08/2006 11:46

mummy2ashton....I think we all are!!!! LOL!!!

So much for Family Fun Day....DH has gone out for a couple of hours so my fun is hoovering and washing the kitchen floors!!!!
Hmmmmm!

For a day of housechores rest...I seem to be doing a lot!!!

coggy · 12/08/2006 11:51

Urm.....just cruising the website (as you do).....has anyone started a control journal yet or is that coming later in our Baby Steps?

Just wondered if you all had binders and were happily filling them in yet?

tortoise · 12/08/2006 12:18

No control journal here yet! No sure if i will go as far as doing one!

coggy · 12/08/2006 12:25

What is it?
I thought it was just your routine written down but when I had a look at the website FLYwooman had stamps, plastic wallets for her children, coloured dividers and everything!!

Now we're never going to be as organised as the Flying One but I was a little concerned!!!

shazronnie · 12/08/2006 12:25

no control journal for me yet - i think the post it notes were supposed to help us start one so perhaps that comes later.

mummy2ashton - I def have a fixation with my sink; my tap keeps dripping and I am seriously thinking about getting a new tap to save on tea towels!

Just having a glass of water; have you lot adopted that habit yet?

coggy · 12/08/2006 12:26

I am thirsty....but can't get any water as the kitchen floor is still wet!!!

tortoise · 12/08/2006 12:27

Not sure what it is! I was thinking along the same lines as you.
My tap drips sometimes too!
No,I drink orange squash, not keen on plain water but i don't drink tea, coffee, coke or anything but orange!

coggy · 12/08/2006 12:36

So confess.....does anyone have their little yellow sticky notes up......honestly??!!!

shazronnie · 12/08/2006 12:39

NO NO NO I AM NOT THAT SAD!!!

(re post it notes ; sad in every other way)

shazronnie · 12/08/2006 12:40

Where is Ruby she is the only one who had a proper date night?

coggy · 12/08/2006 12:51

So.....no shoes....no post it notes....hmmmmmmmmm!!

(Although I know you have your shoes on shazronnie!!!!!)

mummy2ashton · 12/08/2006 14:43

no i haven't got post it notes yet beacause i think if my arms fell off i would still remember to dry my sink, its only been 3 days but im really obsessive over it already! even dp dried the sink after he got himself a glass of water! (under my watchfull judging eye of course).

mummy2ashton · 12/08/2006 14:46

also wanted to say, my kitchen and dining area is usually the messiest place in the house. we have 2 hotspots (isn't that what they are called?) in there. the dining table and a sideboard. well.... dp was a bit skeptical over this whole fly lady thing. he says "how can you clean properly in just 15 minutes?!" so i showed him. i set the timer for 15 minutes and cleaned and decluttered. i managed to totally clear both messy hotspots, putting everything in its rightful place around the house and also clean all the sideboards within an inch of their lives. dp was completely amazed! he is a big fan now!

shazronnie · 12/08/2006 15:25

did 15 more mins ironing and took the kids to family fun day at the local park, sink still shiny so I feel I have fulfilled my flybaby steps today.

Still haven't decided what to wear tomorrow yet!

Quootiepie · 12/08/2006 15:51

been putting away about 15 bags of clothes that we hadnt unpacked since housemove... taken since 11! Off to a BBQ soon... but DH is working a double tomorrow so I have all day to FLY What are you guys gonna use to clean your bathrooms?

OP posts:
tortoise · 12/08/2006 16:14
