I need a new washing machine - oh my giddy aunt how to choose from the vast array which don't really tell you what you want to know in the website blurb.....

This is a long shot but does anyone know of a washing machine which:

• has an 8kg or greater drum size
• hand wash cycle
• half load adjustment
• quick wash
• front access to the filters
• reasonably quiet
• min 1400rpm spin
• wool cycle
• standard cycles that are not too long - some machines are quoting 3 hours for 60C cotton!
• not hideously expensive!

Any help gratefully received in advance

I've got a cheaper logixx and its brilliant. They adjust to how much washing you put in so no half wash is needed & you can press speed perfect for a fast wash.

I'd go for whichever Bosch you can afford, to cut down the searching.

I've got a Bosch and it's fab - highly recommend.

I would say get a Bosch.

I sold a Bosch logixx to get a Samsung Eco Bubble 12kg machine - which is currently waiting to be fixed after 7 months ??

I'm using a hotpoint at the moment which I gotta say is brilliant - only 7kg though.

My Bosch however is 4 years this time and still perfect (I sold it my sister so I know how it's getting on ??)

My Bosch does all that! Cotton 60 and 1400 spin just over an hour. Quick wash 15 mins. 8kg drum. Alters water for load so need for half per sa as does its self. It was around £400. Ex eel 8 various perfect.

thanks so much! a bosch exxcel is winging its way to us now. chief washerman dh will soon have it worn out. who knew how exciting a new washer could be?!
